She's got me by the ponytail...

If Designs By Janna were a person, it would be my best friend- stylish, ingenious, and a sports lover.

About the latter, I don't know if Janna is a lover of sports, but she definitely touched a soft spot in my heart with her collegiate ponytail holders- I almost threw myself off my chair when I saw my favorite teams, UGA and The Ohio State. I don't even wear my hair in a ponytail, but I can't resist them...

Once I regained my composure, I saw all of the other utterly chic accessories Designs By Janna has to offer, including handblown glass hair sticks and cute button earrings. The best thing of all: Flip-Flop Tops, cute fabric covered buttons that you use to jazz up your shoes.

When art and nature meet

Vintage greeting cards, ceramic jewelry and tiles, beautiful drawings...all of these and more can be found at Mary Richmond Design.

I especially love her watercolor collages (pictured above)- they're nothing short of gorgeous. The element of nature can be seen in each piece of her work, from her "Butterfly Girl" print (which benefits Breast Cancer Research) to her adorable ceramic cats.

Introducing...Indie Favorites!

I see so many amazing sites and shops of indie crafters- everything from jewelry to cookies- and I know how hard it can be to promote a small business.

Indie Favorites is a blog that will be dedicated to featuring hard-working indie designers of all kinds.

If you are an indie designer, or want to share your own indie favorites, send me an email: rmbunton@gmail.com

I will definitely look at all sites/shops submitted, and will contact you if I choose to feature your indie business :)
